Nettlemouth's Headlining Kasbah Gig

Saturday 30th January 2010

A new decade, a new venue for Nettlemouth to explore. Following some intense plan changes (gig on, off, and other transmutations!) I headlined the
Kasbah's 'Groovy Gardens' saturday night slot in Coventry.

A radically different sort of venue to The Troubadour in London, and ideally suited to Nettlemouth's music I was really looking forward to the gig. The support act was a solo acoustic guitar performer (which worried me a little bit? Nettlemouth might come as a bit of a shock after a solo guitarist!). I needn't have worried. From 'Rainbow Dust' onwards the crowd were (large!) engaged and dancing. There was a bit of a microphone glitch which meant I couldn't prepare people for the transition to 'Orange Skies' and 'Threat' but the crowd went with it and by the time Rachel Still from the Delegation came up to close out the gig with 'Idea 3' we'd had a great night. So much so in fact I already have my next date sorted out! Check back on the website for more info on times and pricing later in February.

Movies of all the tracks covered on the night can be found on the
Movies Page.
